Ashley Kendall learns how BSL was recognised by the government as a language in its own right in 2003 as a result of the biggest march in Deaf history, which took place in London in 2000. He also finds out how the Deaf community reacted at the time when it was announced that BSL has been recognised. Was the march in vain?

The archive strand showcases Clive Mason’s first appearance on See Hear in 1984 – the first time a BSL-user became an anchor presenter, a moment that has become a pivotal landmark in Deaf history.

Yvonne has been making the most of downtime in lockdown to come up with new recipes. In this episode, she demonstrates a quick and easy dish that can be made from ingredients in your cupboards - chimichangas.
