Nigel Havers welcomes four more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the look out for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

Ollie from Wakefield brings in an old-fashioned industrial fire extinguisher owned by his grandfather. Whatever money he makes, he and his grandad will donate it to charity. The dealers can all see the potential for it to be converted into a lamp, table or other household item. With a real market for repurposed industrial pieces, can Alan cash in and make money for his grandad’s chosen charity?

Graham is selling a piece of pottery he saved from the tip after a house clearance. He reckons it’s a piece produced by the Cornish pottery workshop Troika, and Simon confirms he’s right and that it’s a rare piece that could attract a good price. Gareth arrives with a mirror he inherited after buying a house. It is brown and heavily varnished, so might not be to all the dealers’ tastes. Peter brings in two handheld face screens - probably Victorian - that he acquired in a job lot of items at an auction.
