Peter Piot, director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, talks to our Global Health correspondent Tulip Mazumdar about COVID-19 after falling ill with the virus.

Peter Piot director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, is a legendary virologist who first identified Ebola back in 1976 in Zaire and has led research into HIV/AIDS. In March he fell ill with COVID-19. He talked to our Global Health correspondent Tulip Mazumdar about how he underestimated the virus, the loneliness of his fight against it and whether vaccines really are the silver bullet in the fight against coronavirus.
