Stuart revisits the British post-punk band鈥檚 clattering 1980 record Jane From Occupied Europe. Their second and final album, the sextet of Birmingham teenagers cited Gerry Anderson's television puppet show "Thunderbirds" as well as T.Rex as equal inspirations behind their erratic and thrilling sound. A host of vanguard rock giants including Sonic Youth, Nirvana and Stereolab have all lauded Swell Maps as an influence on their music.
