Grant Stott will be in conversation with Fish (formerly of Marillion); who has just released a brand new single ‘Garden Of Remembrance’; the latest song to be taken from his highly anticipated final solo album Weltschmerz, which will be released on September 25th. The legendary singer will be discussing it all and looking back over his remarkable career in music.

The great Sir Harry Lauder was born 150 years ago this week; he rose to fame in 1905 in the Theatre Royal’s pantomime Aladdin, and went on to tour his own one-man show in music halls around the world, becoming the first British artist to sell a million records! Scottish tenor and Ö÷²¥´óÐã broadcaster Jamie MacDougall was due to mark it with a special show in Portobello featuring many of Harry’s most popular songs - then a run at Edinburgh Fringe; all gone now! However he was determined to mark it and raised the money to stage the show and film it in the King’s Theatre – it’s now available online and Jamie will on hand to explain all…

Grant will also be hosting our Film Review Hour when we’ll discuss the new 4k, Ultra High Definition restoration of Mike Hodge’s cult classic FLASH GORDON - back in select cinemas this week, in honour of the film’s 40th anniversary. FLASH GORDON is the 1980 space opera film adaptation based on the comic strip of the same name with a cast including Max Von Sydow, Timothy Dalton, Melody Anderson, and Brian Blessed; the film is also notable for the soundtrack, which was composed, performed and produced by Queen.

Make Up, a drama directed by Claire Oakley, starring Joseph Quinn and Molly Windsor is also under review: action centres around Ruth who moves in with her boyfriend in a remote holiday park, but tensions rise as she makes an unsettling discovery that lures her into a spiral of obsession.

And one of the first truly great sound comedies: Bringing Up Baby- a classic American screwball comedy from 1938, directed by Howard Hawks starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant.
