Scientists are developing a test which can be used on suncare products to see how well each works for a diverse range of skin tones.

A scientific research company in the north east of England has developed a test which will allow manufacturers to see how their products work on hundreds of different types skin tones. At the moment, most suncreams are only tested on white-european skin tones, despite people with darker skin tones also needing to protect themselves against the sun.

If you have lost your job, some people find solace in the fact that they have income protection insurance. That's where insurance companies will cover a proportion of your salary each month. According to the Office for National Statistics six hundred thousand people have already lost their jobs since the start of lockdown - potentially rising to over two million as the furlough scheme ends. However, due to the impact of Covid-19, there's some evidence that insurance companies are changing what they'll cover.

The energy regulator OFGEM has announced it will be significantly cutting how much energy providers can charge people on Standard Variable tariffs. That's the most basic energy deal suppliers offer, and usually the one people switch on to once your fixed deal has ended. But how exactly will it help consumers?

The focus on weight and fitness has sharpened significantly since research suggests there is a link between the severity of the disease and obesity. Recently, the government launched a 12 week diet and fitness programme to help people shed unwanted weight.
