Charities have started street fundraising again, something that stopped during lockdown. We hear about the new rules for fundraisers wanting to approach members of the public.

Charities have started street fundraising again, something that stopped during lockdown. The Chartered Institute of Fundraising estimates that UK charities will have lost a quarter of their income this year due to the pandemic - equivalent to around 拢12bn. The regulator has published new guidance for charities wanting to fundraise in public places. Fundraisers will have to maintain an appropriate distance at all times, should not shout to attract your attention, and must signal before approaching. We speak to one charity that has started fundraising in this way again.

Footfall in high streets was down 40% last month, however even before coronavirus, some high streets were struggling. We've visited Nicholsons shopping centre in Maidenhead, a 1960s development which was purchased by French investors last year. The plan is to demolish the entire complex and build a new town centre, we speak to the architects.

A third of consumers reduced their debt during lockdown, according to credit reference agency Experian. Credit card balances fell by an average of 12%. However some customers are unhappy that their credit limits have been significantly reduced with little, or no notice. We speak to one customers about the impact on their finances and credit scores.
