Ö÷²¥´óÐã

Steve broadcasts a special performance from IDLES, from the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Theatre in New Broadcasting House, London. The half-hour set will be IDLES’ first live performance after the release of their much anticipated third studio album Ultra Mono, which features contributions from Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth, Warren Ellis, David Yow and Jamie Cullum.

The performance will be filmed for Ö÷²¥´óÐã iPlayer and available to watch on demand in the days that follow

Bristol band IDLES released their debut album Brutalism in 2017 to critical acclaim. Their second, Joy as an Act of Resistance received a nomination for the 2019 Mercury Prize. IDLES were also nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards in 2019.

Steve Lamacq has been an avid supporter of IDLES since he stumbled across them at the 6 Music Festival Fringe in Bristol in 2016. Steve then booked them to play at 6 Music’s showcase at The Great Escape festival in Brighton that year. Steve has supported the band consistently throughout their career to date, including inviting the band to perform live in session on his show in 2018 and at the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 6 Music festival in Liverpool in 2019.
