Huey plays out Marvin Gaye's seminal soundtrack album, Troubleman, for national album day. The 1972 album was the follow up to What's Goin' On? and saw Marvin in complete creative control of a record for the first time in his career.

It's also the 40th anniversary of the Blues Brothers being released in the UK and Huey joins the musical dots, playing tracks by artists who featured in the movie, so that means tracks by and featuring Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Steve "The Colonel" Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Pinetop Perkins, John Lee Hooker, Blue Lou Marini, Mr Fabulous Al Rubin and Matt "Guitar" Murphy.

Of course Huey also pays tribute to Eddie Van Halen who's guitar style had a huge influence on his own playing.

And Mildlife take over the Block Party. The Australian cosmic jazz-fusion four piece have just released their new album, Rare Air, and mark the occasion with a mix they're calling a Solar Groove Safari.
