Stuart hears from Ed Wynne of the experimental instrumental rock band Ozric Tentacles about their new album Space For The Earth. Formed during the solstice at Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983, the outfit have been combining psychedelic and progressive rock with jazz fusion and dance music ever since. Written and produced by founding member Ed Wynne during lockdown, the new album features ambient atmospheres, rallying guitar solos and space grooves inspired by the healing quality of the Scottish wilderness.

Plus, the featured album is psychedelic dub ensemble African Head Charge鈥檚 otherworldly 1983 album Drastic Season. The category defying record is a kaleidoscope of African percussion music, field recordings, psychedelia and roots reggae mutated into strange new forms by heavy tape editing and new technology of the time.

There鈥檚 more music from improvised avant-garde guitar duets, dramatic Italian feminist pop and experimental electronics inspired by archaeology and hidden history.
