Wu-Tang member and hip-hop producer-turned-film director, The RZA joins Miranda Sawyer to discuss the use of music in his film work.

A founding member of the legendary hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, RZA first got involved in films when he met Jim Jarmusch, who asked him to provide the soundtrack for Ghost Dog–The Way of the Samurai. He then studied filmmaking shadowing Quentin Tarantino while composing the music for Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1. Since then, he’s directed three features: the Kung-fu flick The Man with the Iron Fists and the musical Love Beats Rhymes, and now his latest film, Cut Throat City, a heist-thriller set in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward.

Miranda Sawyer will be chatting through his soundtrack and film work as well as his love of the martial art film genre.
