A breakfast selection of classic Scottish indie

Stuart Maconie presents a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast and plays a selection of his favourite classic Scottish indie pop tracks

Stuart Maconie presents solo, with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

Following this weekend's television broadcast of a documentary film on the subject, Stuart plays a selection of his favourite tracks to come out of Glasgow's indie pop music scene of the 1980's and early 1990's. With music from bands including Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, The Pastels and BMX Bandits. It also follows last Sunday's brilliant 'First, Last and Everything' interview with Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake.

Also on the show... a whole host of quality radio items including 'Breakfast Blend' - three tracks that make a great sonic blend - plus another instalment of Sunday Glove Songs.

You can take part in The Chain, choosing a track for our world-famous list of over 8000 interconnected songs.

Plus a finely balanced blend of new and old music, setting you up for a Sunday, with tracks from Al Green, Sleaford Mods, Althea And Donna, Greentea Peng, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Ezra Collective and Laura Nyro.
