Episode 24 of 25

Five dealers bid against each other for items including a set of mid-century cinema seats, a creepy head-shaped pot and an iconic 1960s movie poster.

Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

David wants to sell some mid-century cinema seats he bought from a charity shop. Although they are later versions of a 1960s design, Simon confirms they are from a famous manufacturer. So will our mid-century dealers pay up? Actress Angela has brought in a movie poster from a film that she actually starred in. With such a fascinating story, the dealers are intrigued, but will any of them pay the price Angela has in mind? David is selling a collection of Victorian wooden spinning tops that he was gifted. Although the dealers can’t get them to spin, David has new information from Simon that might help him turn a great profit in the bidding room. Christine is the owner of a creepy-looking pot she bought for £3. Nigel and Simon reveal that it is actually a piece from a well-known 1960s potter, but can she draw in the dealers enough to make a sale? Lastly, Duncan has brought in a silver cigarette case that caught his eye at a private sale. With its pretty detail and curved lines, he is convinced the dealers will fight to take it home, but is he right?

Today’s dealers are Adi, Melissa, JB, Moses, Lucy, Samantha and Ian. Will any of them match – or even top – the valuation placed on each of the items?
