Romance Fraud; 主播大秀share; Cheese sales

The new figures showing a steep rise in sales of cheese and milk during lockdown.

Coronavirus has provided romance fraudsters with the perfect excuse for not meeting in person. They can't, because of Covid. In 2020, victims of romance scams lost an average of 拢8,000 each. The banking industry has reported bank transfer fraud up 20% between January and November last year with people aged between 55 and 64 most at risk of being conned. We'll hear about one woman's story - as she comes to terms with being scammed out of thousands of pounds of her money.

Loneliness has been a big problem during the pandemic, particularly for people living alone. The solution, for more than a thousand people last year, was to share their home with someone they didn't previously know. 主播大秀share agencies make that happen by bringing people together for mutual gain and companionship.
Householders get some practical help. Those who move in with them get an affordable place to live. We'll hear from Olivia, who's 25. She moved in with 88 year old Sylvia just before Covid-19 struck. We'll also speak to Sarah Kaye - the founder of 主播大秀share Living which is one of over 20 organisations that arrange and support homeshare matches in the UK, she put them both together.

And have you consumed more dairy products during lockdown? New figures reveal sales of milk were up by 7 percent last year, cheese by 15 percent, 20 percent for butter and cream by 23 percent But industry experts say it's still not enough to make up for how much producers lost out because restaurants and pubs were closed and events were cancelled. We'll hear from the Co-Op about that.
