A number of lenders will not consider properties that have spray foam insulation installed in the roof, or will refuse an application because a surveyor has reported concerns. Those lenders that will consider spray foam may charge more in interest. We hear from listeners affected by this, and examine whether mortgage lenders have any good reason to be concerned.

Often viewed as a cheap filler flower in a bouquet, chrysanthemums are enjoying popularity with gardeners again. One big grower reports that sales increased by 40% in the last year with many home gardeners ordering the plants again this year. We consider the appeal of this once unfashionable flower.

Many people have had difficulties sleeping as a result of the pandemic. The number of people searching for sleep apps doubled last year to over 27,000 according to the comparison site U-Switch. Searches peak between 3.00 and 4.00 am when people are awake at night. Professor John Wright is a doctor and epidemiologist at Bradford Royal Infirmary, he's been recording diaries about being on the NHS frontline for 主播大秀 Radio 4. He's spoken about the sleeplessness he's suffered as a symptom of long covid, and he has tried out some popular sleep apps for us.
