Tomorrow's Warriors at 30

Jumok茅 Fashola celebrates 30 years of jazz education initiative Tomorrow's Warriors with founders Janine Irons and Gary Crosby, plus trumpeter Mark Kavuma's inspirations.

Jumok茅 Fashola celebrates the 30th anniversary of youth jazz and talent development organisation Tomorrow鈥檚 Warriors. She's joined by co-founders Janine Irons and Gary Crosby, who started Tomorrow鈥檚 Warriors out of a commitment to increasing diversity and inclusivity across the arts through jazz. Over the past three decades the organisation has had a defining impact on the UK scene, bringing through numerous stars including Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Shabaka Hutchings and Zara McFarlane.

Elsewhere in the programme, dynamic trumpeter and Tomorrow's Warriors alumnus Mark Kavuma shares his musical inspirations, including pieces by his trumpeter heroes, Louis Armstrong and Kenny Dorham; and Jumok茅 plays tracks by leading Warriors from across the years as well as an exclusive live recording from a recent showcase featuring the next generation of talent.
