From the Edinburgh Festivals

Nicola Meighan presents conversation and live performances from the Edinburgh Festivals including poet and novelist Ben Okri and singer and actress Barbara Dickson.

On our final show from the Edinburgh Festivals, Nicola Meighan will welcome award winning singer and actress BARBARA DICKSON who will be chatting about her upcoming tour and her new podcast series ‘Answer Me Ten’ where she poses the same ten questions to prominent women in the field of music and media.

From Booker Prize to Ballet, poet and novelist BEN OKRI, will join us with artist CHARLOTTE JARVIS to talk about bringing together dance and poetry in their Fringe show, Starting From First Position which opens at the Fringe this weekend.

Barbara no doubt will be happy to pass on her words of wisdom about working in the music industry to CARA ROSE, a young singer songwriter from Glasgow who will be singing and playing piano for us.

We'll have music from Laurel Canyon Legends performing Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's Our House.

Nicola will also be chatting to comedian JOSIE LONG about her Edinburgh Fringe show and what it’s like being back at the Fringe as well as her love of Scottish indiepop.

Fresh from their Edinburgh International Festival show and having recently sold out the Glasgow Barrowlands in only six minutes, two members of the Celtic rock folk band TIDE LINES, will be entertaining us with live music. We’ll hear about their music and what it is that attracts such devoted fans who are renowned for creating electric atmospheres and raucous live shows.
