Restless Development

The youth unemployment crisis has only been made worse by the pandemic, but we are working side by side with young people to tackle it. Every year Restless Development trains, mentors, nurtures and connects thousands of young people in more than 70 countries to solve problems and lead change in their communities. Some are social entrepreneurs, setting up businesses to provide for their families and create jobs, others campaign on issues like gender inequality, and the climate crisis. By supporting Restless Development, you can help young people to solve the unemployment crisis and shape their own futures.

Life-changing skills

Life-changing skills

Theresa from Zambia had her education cut short because her family couldn’t afford her school fees. Her life changed when she was given business training by Restless Development and encouraged to join a community savings group. With her new skills, Theresa set up her own shop.

Community savings groups help young people learn about saving money and get loans for their business ideas. Through her group, Theresa now supports other young people to launch their own businesses, creating a ripple effect in their community.

With the income from her shop, Theresa went back to school and completed her studies. It costs £26 to provide a day of business training and give a young person life-changing skills. For the first £50,000 donated through this appeal a donor will give £1 for every £1 donated.
