Dr Sandesh Gulhane, the Scottish Conservatives' health spokesperson, has said that demand to see GPs is "not safe" and "not sustainable". Another GP, Dr Iain Kennedy, is quoted in this morning's papers saying "telephone triage is here to stay, no going back to business as usual"

The Scottish Government has said that face-to-face consultations with GPs will be restored "as quickly and safely as possible" as part of their 拢1bn NHS Recovery Plan.
