Retro Gaming, Psychology of Panic Buying, How to Save on Energy

Check the loft for old gaming consoles as they are having a moment.
Have you been panic buying? Find out why.
And want to cut back on you energy usage? Uswitch tells us how.

A lot of us have been picking up a control pad and doing a bit of gaming recently - Ofcom says 62% of adults have played a video game last year, in an industry worth over £4bn in the UK alone.
One area of gaming that is getting a bit more interest lately is retro gaming - we are talking the likes of Commodores, Ö÷²¥´óÐã Micros, and Sega’s to name a few.
We will join a father and son duo, who go by the name The Retro Shed on YouTube, as they tell us why they love dusty consoles more than shinny new ones. And gaming author Chris Scullion informs us how popular this is, and how modern gaming houses feel about it all.

'Don't panic' has been the message to consumers over the last week to try and prevent panic buying of fuel. A survey by Klear Now last month found 57% who stockpiled during lockdown said they regretted it and would not do it in future.
So why is the news full of stories of panic buying, be that petrol or toilet roll? Why do people do it?
Chartered Psychologist and author of ‘The Leader’s Guide to Resilience’ Audrey Tang and Richard Bartlett from Klear Now, a Supply Chain logistics platform, will try and explain.

And with the energy price cap increasing by 12% today many of us are watching our meters as prices rise again. Energy expert, Will Owen, from Uswitch is on hand to suggest practical things you can do to cut your gas and electric usage – more than putting another jumper on!
