The steep cost of train tickets in the UK leads many travellers to take to the skies instead, because low-cost airlines undercut rail firms on many domestic routes. But today one company is launching a new low cost, low carbon train service on one of the busiest routes: London to Edinburgh. A one-way ticket on its all electric trains will start from around 拢15. The company, Lumo, says that 60 per cent of all fares will cost 拢30 or less.

An investigation by the 主播大秀's Panorama suggests that more plastic Coca-Cola bottles are found littered on the ground than any other brand.

During the lockdowns, many of us increased our TV viewing. Period dramas such as Bridgerton were huge hits. But could the grand, regal look we鈥檝e been seeing on screen be influencing how we decorate our homes?

The number of landlords left out of pocket because of unpaid rent looks set to rise. Seven per cent of private renters surveyed for a government study said they were in arrears and a further nine per cent said they were likely to be, in the next three months. We hear from one landlord who has been left significantly out of pocket after her tenant failed to pay rent for months.
