Gary West brings you highlights of the most prestigious event in the solo piping calendar, the Glenfiddich Piping Championship held at Blair Castle in Perthshire on October 30th. Ten of the world's elite players took to the stage in the historic ballroom to do musical battle in front of a capacity crowd, and they didn't disappoint, producing some truly excellent performances. This week's highlights feature Jack Lee, Angus MacColl, Willie McCallum, Finlay Johnston and Iain Speirs, while adjudicator John Wilson provides us with an insider's perspective on exactly what makes a winning performance.
