Belong: Making Justice Happen

Belong is a small charity that provides hope, rehabilitation and recovery for people who have committed crime or been victims of crime. We deliver restorative justice, mentoring and psychotherapy in young offenders institutions, prisons and local communities. We also provide training for prison officers and other criminal justice professionals. Belong is supported by a wonderful group of volunteers from a range of backgrounds, who provide assistance to people in prison and ex-offenders in the community.

Callum’s story

Callum’s story

On our Appeal you’ll hear from Callum who went to prison when he was 15 years-old. He took part in our PLAN A programme and turned his life around. He also participated in restorative justice, creative psychotherapy and mentoring sessions.

Preventing the cycle of reoffending

Preventing the cycle of reoffending

Our approach is to tackle the root causes of conflict and crime. By taking part in PLAN A young people make amends for their crimes, learn skills that can help them secure a job, access education and deal with mental health problems and previous trauma.
