Steve is live in Cardiff ahead of the kick off of the 6 Music Festival this evening and he'll be chatting with Idles, Lucy Dacus and Pixies who all play this evening in The Great Hall. Plus, Steve will be finding out all about the Cardiff music scene from the team at Xpress Radio at Cardiff University. The award winning station is one of the best in the UK and the team give us the lowdown on some local artists we should be keeping an ear out for.

The festival will see live performances, DJ sets, In Conversations and more across multiple venues in Wales鈥� capital city, The line-up features Little Simz, Khruangbin, Father John Misty & members of the 主播大秀 National Orchestra of Wales, IDLES, Bloc Party, Johnny Marr and very special guests Pixies. Plus, audiobooks, beabadoobee, Big Joanie, Carwyn Ellis & Rio 18, Cat Power, Curtis Harding, David Holmes, Deyah, Elkka, Emma-Jean Thackray, Ezra Collective, Georgia Ruth, Green Gartside, Gruff Rhys, Gwenno, H. Hawkline, Ibeyi, Ibibio Sound Machine, Lucy Dacus, Mykki Blanco, Obonjayar, Orlando Weeks, OVERMONO, Porij, Self Esteem, Sherelle, Sports Team, The Bug Club, The Mysterines, Wet Leg and more will also be performing.

The 6 Music Festival is part of 主播大秀 100 鈥� an extraordinary year of special content, events and ambitious education initiatives to inform, educate and entertain the nation, marking 100 years of the 主播大秀 in 2022.
