Seonaid Aitken looks ahead to World Health Day which takes place this week and contemplates this year鈥檚 theme of 鈥極ur Planet/Our Health鈥�. Plus session music from pianist Fergus McCreadie and his trio, who鈥檒l be playing selections from their brand new album 鈥楩orest Floor鈥�. Richard Michael opens another chapter of his Song Book, this week celebrating the voice of Doris Day who would have turned 100 this month. Plus music from some of this year鈥檚 Oscar winning films including Steven Spielberg鈥檚 remake of West Side Story and American drummer / DJ Questlove鈥檚 music documentary Summer of Love shot at the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which captured performances by Nina Simone, The Staple Singers and Sly & The Family Stone.
