This series takes viewers on a journey across Scotland following vets as they tend to animals from small to large to very wild. In Forfar, vet Fiona Crowden is busy treating puppies that have eaten something they shouldn’t. One has eaten stones and another bone meal.

At Highland Wildlife Park, vet Ellie Milnes anaesthetises Animesh the snow leopard so that she can check for any liver damage following her recent illness. Also present are two other vets who are eye specialists from Inverness. They are taking the opportunity to check if Animesh is suffering from an eye condition that is prevalent in snow leopards.

And in Aberdeenshire, Scott Rigg is performing keyhole surgery on a boxer dog’s elbow to remove damaged bone and cartilage which is causing him pain.
