First Aid Kit, Tom Allen, Scotland's textile heritage

First Aid Kit chat about their new album, and Tom Allen's new book about the passing of his dad. Plus novel Bournville and a look at Scotland's rich history of textiles.

Comedian Tom Allen chats to Michelle McManus about his new book 'Too Much', all about navigating the loss of his dad last year and finding laughter in grief.

Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit have a new album out - 'Palomino'. They catch up with Michelle ahead of their tour.

Scotland's rich heritage of textiles is being investigated and celebrated by Turner prize-winning artist Elizabeth Price in her exhibition Underfoot at Glasgow's Hunterian, showcasing the city's industrial age.

Michelle will also be talking about a documentary that looks at a sit-in at the Lee Jeans Factory in Greenock in 1981. Paul English went to a screening of 'Lee Jeans - Sitting Tight' and chatted to those that were there, including some of the women involved in the action 41 years ago.

Plus, author Jonathan Coe talks about his new novel 'Bournville', following the lives of one family in the Birmingham suburb through some of the momentous occasions that have shaped Britain.
