St Helens claimed the Super League title for the fourth consecutive year in 2022 and start the new campaign on the other side of the globe, taking on the Australian champions Penrith Panthers. The hugely-anticipated contest will see some of the best players on the planet competing for the right be called world club champions.
There are five matches in round one of Super League. Newly-promoted Leigh Leopards begin life back in Super League at home to Salford Red Devils, last year鈥檚 runners-up Leeds travel to Warrington and Hull KR face Wigan.
Tony Smith takes charge of Hull FC for the first time when his new team play Castleford and Wakefield Trinity are at home to Catalans Dragons.
