Scotland is aiming to be the first part of the UK to introduce the deposit return scheme for single-use drinks containers. Ministers claim it would boost recycling - but the plan is controversial, with critics calling for a delay. The scheme is designed to boost recycling via a 20p deposit on single-use drinks bottles and cans. But according to the circular economy minister, small businesses may not have to comply with Scotland's bottle return scheme straight away. Lorna Slater told the 主播大秀 she was "actively considering" a grace period.
