Talking Movies reports from Los Angeles ahead of Hollywood's biggest night of the year - the Oscars. With the sci-fi action comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once leading the Oscars race, the preview programme hears from its Asian star Michelle Yeoh and looks at how this has been a record year for Asian actors in terms of nominations. With Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical The Fabelmans up for seven Oscars, Talking Movies also features an interview with the acclaimed Hollywood director on why the film is so important to him.

Other big names whose movies are in the running include Cate Blanchett, Brendan Fraser and director James Cameron - they each discuss their Oscar-nominated work with presenter Tom Brook. Also, India's prolific film industry is often overlooked by the Academy, but this year the country has picked up a best original song nomination for its epic action international blockbuster RRR as well as getting recognition in the documentary feature and documentary short film categories. RRR's director S.S. Rajamouli tells Talking Movies how this is a big moment for Indian cinema.
