Author Doug Johnson, with 12 crime novels to his name, talks to Michelle about how having a stroke in 2020 led him to write his first sci fi novel.

Tonight a new series of Race Across the World begins; we speak to Zainib, a Glaswegian contestant who took part in this epic race across Canada with no phones, no flights and no plan, in the hope of winning a cash prize.

Ally the Piper (Ally Crowley-Duncan) is a young American who took up the bagpipes in order to feel closer to the Scottish culture of her adoptive father. Specialising in covering mainstream hits not usually associated with the bagpipes, like Dolly Parton鈥檚 Jolene and Queen鈥檚 Bohemian Rhapsody, she now has 1.6 million Tik Tok followers.

Two young Scottish actors - Jude Coward Nicoll and Frankie Corio - have both had roles in two award winning films recently - 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse' and 'Aftersun'. Michelle discusses with Ruth Hollyman from Strange Town Agency the young acting talent emerging in Scotland, the opportunities available, where and what training is offered.
