'You're all wrong!'

Listeners weigh in to say Des Kelly sang The Streets of Baltimore. But Sean doesn't think so.

"What was the name of the showband that had the hit with The Streets of Baltimore?" Sean asks. He's already played a version by Bobby Bare. But it's the showband version he wants.

"Sean!" says Des in Ballyclare, "The Streets of Baltimore was taken to number one in the Irish charts by Des Kelly and the multi-talented Capitol Showband!"

"I wouldn't have gone for the Capitol Showband," Sean says. "I think it's another showband."

"The Streets of Baltimore was sung by Des Kelly and the Capitol Showband," says Philomena in Aghalee.

"Not at all!" says Kilnappy Cowboy. "You're all wrong! it was Johnny McEvoy who sang The Streets of Baltimore."

"So there you are," Sean says. "Who's right? Who's wrong? I don't think Johnny McEvoy sang it."

More listeners say it's the Capitol Showband with Des Kelly. "But where am I getting Butch Moore?" Sean says. "Did he sing with the Capitol Showband? Did Butch Moore leave the Capitol Showband? Did they have two lead singers? Why am I talking so much when I don't know what I'm talking about?"

With music from Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, The Mavericks, and more.
