Ruarri Joseph tells Cerys about how listening to Tom Waits and Bob Dylan led him to the blues. Ruarri Joseph is the lead singer of William the Conqueror. This month sees the Cornish band release their fourth album, Excuse Me While I Vanish, inspired by Ruarri's time as a temporary care worker during the lockdowns. William the Conqueror formed in early 2017, and have picked up nominations for UK Song of the Year at the UK American Awards for their track Tend to the Thorns.

Plus, the usual weekly round up of the blues you need to hear, from all around the world and in all shapes and sizes!
