Derry City moves on troublemakers

Children under 14 won't get into Brandywell Stadium unless they're accompanied by an adult, as Derry City moves to clamp down on troublemakers.

Children under the age of 14 will now have to be accompanied by an adult to Derry City matches at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium. It follows a series of security meetings after recent trouble in an around the stadium. Last Monday, objects were thrown at police vehicles after a match between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers. In February, the club's Chairman, Philip O鈥橠oherty, warned that people lighting flares would be removed from the stadium and banned for life.
