Ulster University's Vice Chancellor says he's hopeful of more investment in the future after the Irish government announced a £38million in funding for the Magee campus in Derry. It's one of a number of cross-border projects to receive funding from the cabinet and will be used to boost student numbers. The Derry campus will receive €44.5m (£38m) which will be used to build a new teaching and student-services building. The money was provided through the government's Shared Island Unit under the commitments made in the New Decade New Approach political agreement. NDNA led to the restoration of Northern Ireland's power-sharing executive at Stormont in 2020.
