Petroc Trelawny, Josie d鈥橝rby and Welsh tenor Jeffrey Lloyd Roberts present highlights of a magical week of music from the Welsh capital as 主播大秀 Cardiff Singer of the World celebrates its 40th anniversary. This year, 16 of the world鈥檚 best young opera singers travelled from all corners of the globe to Cardiff to compete in this prestigious competition with the hope of winning the coveted title.

As well as featuring the most thrilling musical moments from the knockout rounds, the presenters give us an insider鈥檚 guide to the competition, taking us behind the scenes at St David鈥檚 Hall to meet the singers, the jury, the conductors and the audience. What鈥檚 it really like to take part? Why is it so important to the young opera stars of the future? And why has the competition become so special to the people of Wales?
