As the Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, begins next week, Zara discusses the Saudi Government's recent restrictions on the number of pilgrims allowed to attend with Islamic scholar Yahya Barry.

The ongoing COVID inquiry has prompted a certain amount of public outrage in some areas, but how useful is the emotion of anger? Zara explores the role of anger to inspire change in the world with climate and social justice activist Kayla Burns and Church Of Scotland minister Dr. Robert L. Smith.

A newly released film called "The Jesus Revolution," tells the tale of spiritual awakening in the early 1970s among a community of teenage hippies in Southern California. Reverend Dr. Robert L. Smith joins Zara to discuss the film from his perspective as an American and a man of faith.

June was Pride month in the UK where many shops and companies have been displaying rainbow flags both in-store and online to show their support. Zara is joined by Lewis Shan Smith, convener of the board of LGBT Youth Scotland, and Kirsty Craig-Colquhon, a psychologist from Edinburgh, to examine the value of corporate pride flags.

Last week marked the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the Empire Windrush ship from the Caribbean. Lisa Williams, founder of the Edinburgh Caribbean Association discusses the historical presence of Caribbean people in Scotland while Luke Samuels remembers his grandfather's arrival as part of the Windrush generation.

The comedy drama "There She Goes," returned to our screens last week telling the tale of a family caring for their daughter who has learning disabilities. The writers of the series Shaun Pye and Sarah Crawford join Zara to discuss how their own personal experience inspired the programme.
