Coverage of Leigh contesting their first Challenge Cup semi-final for 36 years, taking on world champions St Helens at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

The Leopards booked their place in the final four by seeing off Championship side York in the last round. Despite having second row Kai O'Donnell sent off after six minutes, and trailing by six points at half-time, they eventually triumphed 34-14.

Opponents St Helens confirmed their spot in the semis with a bruising win against Hull FC. They have lifted the trophy 13 times, latterly in 2021, but bowed out at this stage in last year鈥檚 competition, losing to eventual winners Wigan Warriors.
