Clare Balding is joined in Glasgow by Sir Chris Hoy in the velodrome named after him for the opening evening of track cycling action at the World Championships.

As well as the first round of the women鈥檚 team sprint, featuring last year鈥檚 bronze medallists Great Britain, there are finals in various para-events, including British reigning world champion Daphne Schrager in the C3 individual pursuit.
