For 110 years McLaughlins Hardware Store has been an institution on Derry's William Street. Today the Mark Patterson Show finds itself broadcasting from the heart of the shop

For 110 years McLaughlins Hardware Store has been an institution on Derry's William Street. Today the Mark Patterson Show finds itself broadcasting from the heart of the shop which sells everything from cutlery and coal scuttles to nails and Holy Pictures.
Mark talks to owner Seamus McLaughlin, former Radio Foyle presenter Paul McFadden outlines the changing landscape of the shop, from Bloody Sunday to the so called "Agro Corner", Undertone Michael Bradley remembers his family having a "book" there, and The Fountain's Jeanette Warke talks about her youth club was kitted out by McLaughlins. It is a trip down memory lane of one of Derry's most beloved family stores as they prepare to sell on what is very much a going concern in an era of online shopping and out of town retailers
