Rev Kate Bottley celebrates the 50th anniversary of Greenbelt Christian Arts Festival, joining 12,000 people gathered for its unique mix of artistry, faith and activism.

From her tent in the camping field, Kate explores the festival, which is held each year in the grounds of the beautiful Boughton House in Northamptonshire. It鈥檚 an event close to Kate鈥檚 heart; she has attended 20 Greenbelts over the years, and she meets organisers, artists and festival goers to find out why it is still going strong after half a century.

Author and Greenbelt trustee Chine McDonald explains to Kate the inclusive ethos of the event which sees no divide between the sacred and the secular and celebrates all artistry as God-given. Kate also meets members of the families who first set up the festival in 1974, and campaigner Melanie Nazareth shares how Greenbelt engages Christians with big issues and inspires people to put their faith into action.

Singer-songwriter Martyn Joseph performs an exclusive track and tells Kate how Greenbelt has become his spiritual home over the years. And at the mainstage, Kate joins thousands of worshippers for a communion service with a difference. With more music from the festival and from around the UK.
