Safiya Sinclair in conversation

Jamaican poet Safiya Sinclair tells Cerys about her memoir How To Say Babylon, and Bohdan Piasecki, the inaugural winner of the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem: Performed, stops by.

This week, Cerys is joined by award-winning Jamaican poet Safiya Sinclair to tell us about her latest publication, her memoir How To Say Babylon, which charts Safiya's journey to break free from her strict Rastafarian upbringing and how literature and poetry changed the trajectory of her life.

With the announcement of the winners of the 2023 Forward Prizes for Poetry, Cerys speaks to poet and performer Professor Bohdan Piasecki, who is the inaugural winner of the new category Best Single Poem 鈥� Performed, for his exploration of Polish and British communities in Almost Certainly.
