The contest heads to the Albert Hall Conference Centre in Nottingham, where five more stand-up hopefuls battle it. Guz Khan hosts, while Thanyia Moore and Colin Hoult join the judging panel.
Five hopefuls will battle it out for a place in the 主播大秀 One Grand Final at Kings Theatre, Glasgow, where one will be crowned the 主播大秀 New Comedian of 2023.
We head to Nottingham in the heart of the country for the Midlands鈥� regional heat. The Albert Hall Conference Centre is our venue for the night 鈥� this unique former temperance hall has been at the centre of the city鈥檚 live music, concerts and productions since the 1870s. The Albert Hall is packed with over 300 comedy loving fans here to enjoy the stars of tomorrow.
Battling it out will be Tal Davies, character comedian Lorna Rose Treen, Philipp Kostelecky, Jin Hao Li and ventriloquist Lachlan Werner. Hosting the show is Hollywood actor, comedian, writer and star of Man Like Mobeen, 鈥榯he Coventry legend鈥� that is Guz Khan. Joining him are three judges 鈥� actor, writer and local Nottingham comic Colin Hoult, award-winning comedian, actor and BAFTA Award-winning writer Thanyia Moore, plus our head judge, Midlands born-and-raised comedian Josh Pugh.
The judges will watch all five acts before picking the comic they think has the best chance of lifting the trophy at the Grand Final. This is just one of six heats taking place across the UK 鈥� Bethnal Green, Bangor, Ballymena, Leith and Sunderland all play host to these comedy showdowns.
