Raj Bisram and Irita Marriott - Day 2
Raj and Irita criss-cross the Welsh border looking for antique goodies, but finding beautiful things that don鈥檛 need two strong assistants to carry them isn鈥檛 easy.
We鈥檙e only at round two in our cross-country jaunt with antique experts Irita Marriott and Raj Bisram, and already they鈥檙e winding each other up. They say 鈥楬wyl鈥�, or ta-ra, to Wales and hello to Shropshire, as they hit shops on both sides of the border. Things get a little tense in the Vanden Plas Princess as our pair give each other the silent treatment. But there鈥檚 no way that can last for long.
Raj sets his sights on dazzlingly coloured glass and rediscovers the object that kicked off his career in the antiques game. Meanwhile, Irita has got her eye on a number of items, each one larger and more unwieldy than the last. She might be able to buy them, but will they make big profits?
Away from the shopping, Irita gets a tour around a groundbreaking college that gives young adults with physical and learning challenges a way to get into the world of work and lead fulfilled lives. She also learns about the inspirational and pioneering nurse who was the driving force behind it.
Then, it鈥檚 time to head for auction number two. Will the bidders go for small and dainty, or big and bulky?
