Derry family welcome Legacy Act challenge

The brother of 11-year-old Stephen McConomy, who was killed during The Troubles, has backed a legal challenge by the Irish Government to the controversial Legacy Act.

The brother of an 11-year-old Stephen McConomy, who was killed by a soldier in Derry in 1982, has backed the Irish government's legal challenge against the Trouble's Legacy Act.
The Irish government said it would challenge the controversial UK law which offers a conditional amnesty for Troubles-era killings.
Emmett McConomy tells North West Today he is 'delighted' the Irish government are taking the legal action and described it as a 'good day for victims'.
