The Ballymena Bog Attendant is wondering why people used to carry a rabbit鈥檚 foot.
鈥淵ou played a Willie Nelson duet recently and in the song he talks about giving his girl a lucky rabbit鈥檚 foot,鈥� says the Ballymena Bog Attendant. 鈥淚 remember this was quite common way back but not now! What鈥檚 that all about? It wasn鈥檛 very lucky for the rabbit!鈥�
鈥淲ell absolutely!鈥� Sean says. 鈥淵ou had people carrying them in their purses, or keyrings, men carrying them on their trouser belt! And what about the horse shoe? Why was the horse shoe regarded as lucky? I mean, it fell off the poor old horse!鈥�
