In the 1990s, over 300,000 people were infected with HIV during a government-sponsored blood donation campaign which aimed to monetise the blood from its poor farmers. The use of contaminated equipment led to a full-blown epidemic. We follow Liu Ximei, a victim turned activist, who gives poor farmers from China's Henan Province a voice as she battles with her illness. Produced by Ai Weiwei.
