Presented by Mark Devenport: St Patrick’s Day in Montserrat; Baltimore and Rose Dugdale; Alasdair Beckett-King

Montserrat is the only place outside of Ireland where St Patrick’s Day is a national holiday – we hear of its history and their unique celebrations.

We’re travelling 4,000 miles to the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean where they celebrate a rather unique type of St Patrick’s Day. Mark chats to Joe Lawlor and Christine Molloy, the directors of a new film Baltimore which tells the story of Rose Dugdale, an heiress who became a volunteer with the IRA. Also stand-up comedian Alasdair Beckett-King on his new tour Nevermore coming to Belfast. Our panellist Rosamond Bennett joins Mark to discuss all this and more as she shares her perspective on the Sunday newspapers.
