Jared Stacy on former US president Donald Trump endorsing a new version of the Bible, and Quaker and poet Nuala Watt talks about her new collection.

It’s the best-selling book of all time, but now former US President Donald Trump has endorsed a new version of the Bible - something that he will benefit from financially. Theologian and former Evangelical Pastor, Jared Stacy, joins Connie to discuss how this money-making idea sits with Christians, and what Christian teachings say regarding making money from the holy scriptures.

Reporter Michael McEwan pays a visit to the Access Film Club at the Glasgow Film Theatre, who put screenings on for people with Autism. He finds out about some of the challenges of cinema screenings for people with neuro-diverse conditions.

Disability, welfare reform and parenthood are just some of the topics reflected on a new collection of poetry, ‘The Department of Work and Pensions Assesses a Jade Fish’. Poet, disability activist and Quaker, Nuala Watt, reflects on her life, writing and faith with Connie.

To pour over some of the stories that are making the news, digging a little deeper to reveal what they tell us about ourselves, our faith and spirituality, and the communities we live in, Connie is joined by Aman de Sondy, Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Islam at University College, Cork, writer Rodge Glass, who grew up in the Jewish faith, and lawyer and member of the Sikh community in Glasgow. Rupa Mooker.

They discuss the uncomfortable rub between military conscription and religious or moral conviction, as Israel tries to overturn a previous conscription exemption for Haredi Jews.

In light of outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins recent comments about being culturally Christian, what does being culturally religious mean.

The consequences of being ‘the other’, as they look at Channel 4 series ‘Defiance: Fighting The Far Right’, about how Asian communities in the UK stood up to Far Right factions in the late 1970s and early 80s.
