Storytelling with an UIster-Scots twist and… hard dance music?!

Helen Mark joins other creative sorts taking part in a special storytelling training course while Rab catches up with Piper Ally.

Helen Mark joins other creative sorts taking part in a special storytelling training course set up by the Ulster Scots Community Network. Collectively, they discuss how to best tell a story – and how best to weave in some Ulster-Scots! The team enjoy discussing how they like to tell a story – and who they consider to be the best bletherer they know!
Meanwhile Rab catches up with Piper Ally – who is recording and performing everything from heavy metal and hard dance music – using her bagpipes!
And do you know the collective term for a bunch of people from Island Magee? Willie Hill finds out why they’re known as ‘bean eaters’!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
